My front left one is well on the way out. Is this easy enough to change yourself?
Leg off, disc off, old bearing out new one in kinda thing? Or is it horrendously difficult?
Any advice welcome :y:
its easy if you got a few things.
i simply took the strut off the car 3 bolts up top, and caliper of disk, popped off ball joint, mallet and lever can do it or ball splitter will do it easier obv.
put it into the vice and used a large mallet and socket near size of bearing diameter, lots of wd 40 and bashed it out.
or you can use a fly press.
when it came to putting new bearing in make sure all surfaces are clean and i used a vice again could use fly press, and making sure its square press bearing in, then press hub back in correct way put strut and calliper back on and off you go
not gay noises when turning bends
haha
hope this helps im not to good with explaining things but hopefully you get what i done.
Not a horrific job. I didn't have access to a big enough vice nor did I fancy attempting it myself.
So I took the leg off myself and handed a local garage the bearing and the leg and they sorted me out for about a tenner.

Hardest part is removing and replacing, dismantling is easy :)

u can strip it yourself but you will need a garage to seal it together
