ok might fit a boot popper, and have to also hide some other wires, wheres the best place to hide wires from the boot to front console? and how easy is it to hide the wires under carpet or under roof lining and how do i do it? only fancy doing this job once so wanna lay all cables then sort out other stuff later

Well if you want the easy way and most common way... well i think it is. Whats you could do it take the wires going to you window wiper and connect that to a solnoid, i did it to mine but i have a smoothed boot same priciple.

looks better than having a toggle switch, Might as well dewiper it! :)

*So basically you turn your wiper stalk to open the boot. make sure you turn it back though, you soldanoid will end up putting its head though its arse, if you dont turn it of.

The wires for the amp are really easy to hide, cut a hole in the boots carpet and feed the under the rear seats, then put the phono leads on one side and the power on the other (if you put them together you will get interferrance)

you will be able to hide the wire untill you get to under the seat belt then just lift the carpet at the ends and put the wire under there

Know you have got the wire to the dash, as for the the wires for the boot im not to sure how you would manage to get them though the roof, Someone on here will know.

From the boot popper, feed the wires inside the tailgate where the standard wiring runs. Then pass it through the gromit at the top into the roof of the car (again where standard stuff runs).

Then, if you unclip the back edge of the roof lining you should be able to get in and grab the wire you have just fed through. Then bring it down the sides of the car (you will need to remove boot trim.shelf supports etc but its not difficult), then remove boot carpet etc, rear seats and front seats and pass everything under the carpet.

The carpet is secured at the edges. Pull the door rubber off and there are 4 or so metal clips holding the carpet to the door frame. Pull these off, and any other brakets you find, and then you can lift the carpet.

Refit is opposite of removal etc. Hope that helps

when i had a look today, the rubber seal around the door has a harder plastic trim around that, that didn't seem to move that easy? is it clipped or just go for it and pull at it

The rubber seal round the door, yeah just pull it off, they will be little metal clips holding the carpet, just lift them up slightly, dont take them of quite fiddly to get back on.

It easy, just go for it....

The door seals are 2 pieces basically, a soft rubber bit and a hard bit. They are joined. Just pull it off.

Clips are easy to put back in btw. just put in place and tap with a hammer and they go straight on ;)
