If so, was it worth what you paid for? I got quoted £230 to have my VTR alloys refurbished and powdercoated which works out £45 a wheel without VAT and cost of tyres removed.
It does seem expensive but if I do the refurbishing myself (which I know is very hard work) and then get them powdercoated it's gonna be around £40 a wheel anyway if not more.
What do you think?

Get a local bodyshop to do it! Near me they charge around £25-£40 a wheel

You're right I could, but I've already got a set that are in fairly good condition. I just want to know if I will save much money if I refurb the wheels myself and get them powdercoated separately?

the powdercoat place by me in birmingham do them £25 a wheel

powder coat them they will last longer then paint and lacqor!
