Xbox live problem

had to reinstall my avg because of problems come to go on live and suprise suprise same fucking problem i had ages ago, live just wont work and i cant understand why itll be summat to do with the firewall anyone got a quickfix last time it didnt work i gave up after there was nothing anywhere that could help me and i battered my pc to death out of frustration out of the blue i happened to end up accidentally getting it working. somone please help its an internet problem is there anyway of assigning ports etc as a quickfix there must be somone whos quite clever on here.

You need to go into your router and open the ports for your xbox to work. Its abit of a shit, but its the only way to do it, i had to ages ago, but dont remember how.

If you ring microsoft they will be able to tell you exactly how to do it :y:

pick your router make and model and click on guides and click xbox and will tell you how to open ports on your make of router.
