i have seen the plates with GB on the left but is it legal to FR like french ones or is there a frech style you can have

You can only have GB logo.

For one, Dubmeister, I just got a set off eBay, they're not as good as my Dubmeister set but on the plus side, theyre all legal except the F band but it's only a sticker so can be peeled off.

are the black and white number plates illegal...i think there black and silver

black and sliver plates are illegal on new cars. but not for the old classic cars

there all illegal if the writing is raised so ive been told each time ive been plled for mine.

Wrong, change in law mid April 09 means you can now have Eng, Scot, Wales etc but no logos like Stella, Fosters, Chelsea, Football etc etc
