On the 7th July my car insurance ends for the Saxo.

I go away on holiday the 28th of June and come back the day before it ends.

Now im going to be buying a new car (75% a Ibiza Cupra R 1.8 20V Turbo) in

August/September so will need to re insure the saxo for 2 months

Which I will do on the internet (most likely Admiral).

So for example I will buy a policy for about £950 and pay monthly in July.

Then when I sell my Saxo and buy the new car, can I go back onto the

Admiral website and get a new quote for the Seat Ibiza ( Roughly £1500)

and then ring them up and say " Just got a new Quote for a Seat Ibiza and

its XXX per month can you please transfer the premium across as I no longer

own the Saxo" ??

The only reason Im worried is if I re insure the saxo online it's a hell of alot

cheaper on the internet than on the phone...

So when I ring them up on the phone when I get my new car and explain to

them what it is...

I don't want them to say " Yes thats £4000 please" when the internet price is

only £1500 - 1700

Please help peoples of sax - p

:D

if they have given you a quote they have to honour it online or otherwise.

if they have given you the quote online then they have to give you that one. however they may say well thats for a year and you only want it for 10 months(or however long is elft) therefore its not a whole contract blah blah blah. but they will probably just give you the same quote so i wouldnt worry about it mate.

Thanks for the first two posts.

That's worried me now...

Surly if you change your car and you get a online quote and transfer the

price across your still completing a 12 months with them as youv'e already

bin with them for a few months before all that changes is the price but they

just alter it for however long you got left...

They can't be that mean to say " well if your changing your car you have to

take the phone price"

Ay more advice guys .......

basically,

take out new saxo insurance

Buy the seat.

Ring in insurnace and tell them youve got a new car etc etc

they will tell you how much more or whatever you need to pay each month

as far as i know you dont need to worry at all mate!

its simplez

Thanks mate

Just wondered about transferring internet prices as phone prices are far more expensive

At least I don't have to worry.

You wont be takeing out a new policy on the seat
you will purely be changing cars and wanting it insured for the remainder of your policy
it wont be a new 12 month policy unless you cancel it and take out a new 1.which will incure get out penalties
best bet is take out saxo policy, leave it a week then phone up and get the quote.

admiral will actually give you the same quote over the phone as online. i had to check it to make sure.

So swampy and others...

If I take out the new policy on the saxo then get the seat

Can I simply get a quote on the "net" for a seat and then "ring" get them to change the

remainder of the policy to that "internet" price?
