Hey, ive been searching alot about the boot flush & ive realised i may have made a mistake buying a fiberglass pannle. Either way, ive already got it, but when i fit it against the boot, the pannle seems to be a good 1 inch either side to wide... I thought it would basicly, when pressed against the boot, just fit into place, nice and snugg...
I have done a few searches and cant find anything so if some one could tell me if this is how its mena be or ive been sent the wrong pannel, please let me know :)
cheers

i really wouldnt bother with the panel, they never fit well, they never have a good smooth finish, to fit properly you need to take the rear window out to blend it in properly, the always crack, the list is endless.
Get it smoothed properly as it would be alot less hassel and will work out best in the long run.

to answer the question. the idea of a fibreglass panel is that when its bonded into place, the edges get smoothed into the original boot, hower this will more than likely crack and may even fall out, best thing to do is to wels a panel into the number plate recess and go from there, hope this helps.
try and sell your fibreglass panel to some gullable youth and make your money back because in the long run it will end up costing you more than its worth in repairs
