Im pretty sure its going to be ok with a fine drill bit tbh, Get some masking tape over the bit your drilling and mark it up, this should prevent any cracking or splitting while drilling, reason i say this is cus a friend drilled some holes into the carbon fibre console he bought and it was ok

very very thin drill bits working up at.5 or a mill at a time. it can soo easily shatter
thats pretty poor for the price that you have to drill it yourself.

Can it really? I didnt realise it was that fragile, good job my friend did his carefully. Thought carbon fibre was meant to be reasonbly strong these days.

carbon is very strong and very light. but when it does decide to break its shatters and flys everywhere normally into your skin and eyes lol
