speed bumps

went over some speed bump about 30 mins ago and my car started pissing petrol out all over..its knocked a connection loose of the fuel pump near the passenger rear wheel......

nothing is oign right this week.. just cost me £10 to do 1 mile home

not a clue dunno if its just came loose or broken...its too dark and cold to see properly and i cba to go back out coz i smell like petrol and have wrok at 9am

no idea how ill ge tto work but worry about that in the morning

ouch,nasty mate.
Check under pass side arch, if i remember correctly, as fuel filter line is prone to coming off, especially if hit.

not sure how the setup is on saxos, never really had a look, you may be lucky and just pulled a pipe off. saying that tho, i think they have special connections on the end, so its hard to pull them off smileys/smiley5.gif

when i turn my ignition on the second click its comes out at high pressure so i know its from the pump forward, will check tomorrow cheers mate

well thats why there is speed bumps! not to slow you down....just to fuck up your car and make you pay for it...as you have seemed to have done. unlucky, hope its sorted soon. im sure when you go over that speed bump again you won't be doing 30mph smileys/smiley17.gif if your going about 60-70mph you might just hit the bump and fly over it without breaking anythin....except the speed limit.

lol no long story but i split wiht my gf about 2 weeks ago but are still talking etc..and this other girl wants a peice obviously ... so i was going to her house and this happend, i had to shout from the road that i was going home lol

lol would it be worse if thats the only reason i even went out of the house lol....

was horrible driving home aswell coz it kept stalling and bump starting and sometimes lots of fuel would get ito engine and snap ur neck ......funny when i think about it but hope there no £££ damage ive had to much open wallet surgery lately
