Ok so i got a laptop that had spanish vista, installed a cracked vista ultimate but i want XP, if i got XP and installed it on would it work fine?
I also got some Dell XP pro OS discs can i just use these?
I thought it would work fine, as in theyre backwards compatible with older OS, but ive been told different by one person.

Yeah, you can install XP on it You may not be able to use the Dell disk as said above, but its worth a try. The other thing is that if there are any specific parts made just for that lapto, there may only be vista drivers for it.

Xp should go on.
Only problem you may encounter is Windows Xp does not support SATA hard drives from the off...
Dell disc should work, my acer laptop if running a Dell Windows Vista disc. (the only noticeable difference is the driver library is not as large)

Xp will be fine, might have a problem with sata as gdwelsh said but if you have a floppy drive shouldnt be a problem getting them from the interwebs
