Braking help plz

Need help with my brakin system

Ye so I was drivin down a local country road at about 75 I then had to brake HARD as a t junction was coming up I had been braking quite hard round the country lanes and the brakes had overheated and faded so I just about stopped be4 the junction.

What can i do to improve my braking with out spending loads o monies

Any help wud be much appreciated!

Oh and its a 1999 pre face lift 3 stud 1.1 3 door

your brakes realy shouldnt be fadding on public roads unless you are absalutly mullering them, get the pads,discs and fluid all checked to make sure they are ok

im not to sure about the calipers and stuff from the vt models if im honest i dont know if they will fit on a 3 studder
