Turned laptop on this morning as usual and there is no wireless connection icon at the bottom and therefore no wireless connection?

Never had this problem before and was only on it at like 1am this morning..

Anyone have any ideas on what I could check?

Thanks.

Check you do not have a wireless button on the side that youve accidently turned off. If not go to network connections in control panel and restart it.

Have restarted and have done a system restore and still no joy. How do I update my drivers then?

First thing I checked was the button on the side lol, it's on.

Ah, maybe I spoke too soon.. Logged off my laptop and logged back on, and it appears to have disappeared again..

However, I double clicked on the wireless assistant in the toolbar and this screen appeared:

I then clicked on windows device manager and this screen appeared:

Can't seem to find wireless network on this page though, and everything seems to be enabled anyway.. Where can I enable the wireless network?

Thanks..

2 things to look for.

1. wireless button on the front or side of the laptop, make sure it is on.

2. have a look on your laptop and you will see a Fn(function button) key. You will notice on your laptop blue writing on the keys....they keys are are used by holding down the FN key. Have a look on your F keys and see if you can see an icon which looks like a receiver(areial type thing) hold the function key and pess it......it might work.

Basically you wirless network card has been disabled!
