What Am I Doing Wrong

I have a sony head unit that works with remote but when i wire amp through to remote on stereo stereo turns of is this due to not haveing it conected correctly to battery or somthing else. any help would be welcome .

there is one wire one whole no where else itt can go and it runs from amp to head unit thats why im lost. just gona try hook it all up and make sure the am ant takingpower from head unit and thats why its turning off
