Iam putting a full vt* kit on it, new alloys & dropping it, ive got the full kit but just havent got the funds to finish it off & its out of tax & m.o.t aswell so i cant exactly take it on the road.

I dont get that, when people pass they spend the night out driving, but havent you thought to yourself, iam breaking the law here?

Yes, youve passed but you dont actually hold a full licence yet + you wont have insurance unless you are insured on the car on a provisional.

I wanted to go out driving the night i passed but my parents wouldnt let me as they dont like me breaking the law.

why is it breaking the law? you only need your certificate which says you have passed and some form of ID to confirm who you are...such as passport. Until you get your lovely pink license anyway.

doesnt matter if you still hold your provisional, it can still be checked on a computer.

you have passed your test, therefore allowed to drive, end of.

i drove everywhere after passing my test. i asked a piglet that helps us out at work sometimes and he said its fine just as long as you dont drive like a twat and you have told your insurance company that you have passed.

Risk what its not illegal, I have done it and so have all my mates and they have been fine. I got pulled over once and still had my provisional but was ok as I had my certificate with me. smileys/smiley2.gif

Yes you can, as the insurance company do not ask for proof of your driving license straight away... and usually they dont request it, unless you make a claim.

As long as the car is taxed, MOT'd, insured and you have proof of passing your test, you're good to go.

i still drive without my pink slip and i passed in january, your insuarance starts when you like, i foned mine and took it out the day i passed and i was legal from the point off putting the phone down.

I got pulled twice within 3 month of passing my test and they was fine with my green card and pass cerficate. altho i did have to produce at the police station because i didnt have anything on me.

You can drive upto 24months on a pass certificate then if you havnt sent it off you have to re take your tests.

I have sent mine off 3 times and everytime iv had a cock up off it, so waiting til after xmas to do it now
