Well I have a BB Curve 8300, the main differences between a BB and a regular phone is the full qwerty keypad, the ability to send e-mails just like you would send a text, the ability to reply to texts/e-mails and see the previous text beneath, the trackball for navigation around the phone makes things a lot quicker, handy applications and download able applications (similar to that of an iphone), wifi for fast internet browsing, blackberry messenger to chat to your friends that have balckberrys for free (similar to msn), the ability to customize everything and there are cases you can buy to change the colour of your BB.
Other than that just the general look and feel of the phone, I don't think I could go back to an ordinary phone after owning a BB tbh.

Hope that helps.....I'd go for the new BB Curve 8900 or the Bold.
Curve has a slightly better camera than the bold and is smaller and lighter, but the Bold is a lot faster and is pretty stylish :homme:

If you're on contract you pay something like £5 a month for unlimited internet access so that includes sending and receiving e-mails. Sounds like a lot but it's worth it for when there's no wifi networks available. :y:

Samsung i8910 HD, nokia n96 and the nokia 5800 are all very powerful phones, you cant beat the camera on the samsung tbh, the 5800 is alot like the iphone as said above and the n96 is just packed with alot of good features.
personally im not a fan of blackberrys, all the ones i have used seemed difficult to operate, but i guess when you get the hang of it thay will be ok :)
Ive never used the samsung but the spec does look very inpressive, i would recomend the other 2 from experience though :)

Ah sweet. In terms of Nokia's iphone..How would you say it is similar to the iPhone? What similarites/differences? :)

12th June 2009, 11:29
Definately should get a Blackberry, personally prefer the Bold (as I have it... haha) but they're all pretty decent so its what you prefer to use etc. Go in to an orange shop and try certain phones out and you can take one away with you that day.

One other thing, don't pay for an upgrade. The ball is in your court, they want you as a customer more than you want them as a provider. If they won't give you what you want then walk away, they'll soon change their mind.

I think orange offer loyalty points which means you'll be able to get a better deal from them as well, worth asking about?

Go for the blackberry storm, great phone :)

Have you been lucky with yours then or was that sarcastic. Id say its got the 'potential' to be a great phone if it wasnt so buggy lol! I used to love mine but it does annoy me to.

Do you have to stick with orange, theres the new n97 and pre which are defo good contenders!

Doesnt surprise me, the firmware updates take the piss in how long 'official' vodafone ones come to. Be interesting to see if they actually release the storm 2 (which is meant to be soon) in a better state than they released this storm.

And maybe let others use it and not just Vodafone.
