Hey guys, 1st VTR!

Alright guys n girls! :cool:

Just got myself a yellow 99' VTR 1.6 off eBay for £600, gonna be picking it up next Saturday. :fcuk:

I live over in sunny Burnley so few of you may see it around, I think there's a few locals on here from what i've read so far (Paul?).

Have got a Canon 450D and a few different lens' so you can expect plenty of pictures when I pick it up.

Yeah pretty much standard at the moment, needs a couple of touch up's paint wise but nothing I can't take care of.

First mod will be to paint the rims, gonna order some nice gun metal grey powder over from America on my next order and get them in the booth first thing.

Next on the agenda will be the engine bay, clean it up, powder coat bits and pieces etc.

There's a rattle in the engine, seller suspects the thrust bearing but we'll see.

Any idea what sorta money we're talking for a new clutch / bearing kit?

Just under 68k on the clock so not bad for it's age, paintwork looks to be in good nick as well (apart from the couple of dints), it's not faded like you often find with the yellow models.

Cheers, not 100% if it's had a re-spray or not.
The front / rear plastic trim is yellow but looks like the paint has chipped away rather than been hit, makes me think it was either sprayed on the cheap or the wrong primer was used on the plastic parts.

Will get back to you and confirm once I've picked it up, you might have seen it around actually, it's up in Durham and i'll be out in Chester-Le-Street on Sat 20th this month. :cool:
