do these calipers need grinding?

ive bought these 266mm brakes off a 206 gti and wondering if the caliper will need grinding ive searched but cant find a straight answer, the calipers have bosch 54 on them, the reason i ask is im going to get a garage to fit them and i dont think they will mess around grinding ect for me and i dont want to take it and hope they fit as i will still be charged.

i thought the 266mm didnt need grinding

its the 283mm that need grinding

sorry this is going to sound stupid but is the carrier a separate part? (haha) because i only got the calipers discs and pads thought this would be all i needed? thanks

Carriers are attached in that pic matey, just cant see the part that may need grinding tho, need a pic side on as it would be under your wheels

I think they will be fine fella, await a second opinion tho, most of the newer 266mm dont need grinding, it's mainly the older one that do

thank you very much buddy :) the garage i go to are sound and probably wouldnt charge me much to try and fit them just dont want them to have to waste time trying and them not fitting

If they do need grinding tis a 2 minute job with an angle grinder, which any garage should have

kool kool just waiting on my braided lines and ill pop it in for them, would you suggest changing fluid to 5.1?

They look like the same brakes as mine "Bosch type 54" - mine went on no bother :y:

rj303 yea they say bosch 54 on the calipers good to hear they will be fine :)
