iPhone MMS in 3.0

Just thought I'd share as I'm sure people are wondering how it's going to work:

Pay monthly:

You can use your text bundle to send picture messages in the UK and abroad. One picture message equals four normal texts, or if you've got no bundle texts left, they cost 24.47p a message (21.28p excluding VAT).

Pay as you go:

Picture messages cost 25p each, or you can buy a bundle with our Messaging Bolt Ons. For example, Messaging 50 gives you 50 texts for £3.99 a month, and a picture message uses three of those texts.

Update on MMS allowance

Ok some clarification from O2 about the texts.

MMS comes out of your normal text bundle allowance so you can't have unlimited MMS messages. :(

If you have 500 bundle texts a month and pay £7.50 for the unlimited texts bolt on, all of your MMS messages will come out of your 500 allowance meaning you effectively have 125 "free" MMS's a month.

Normal texts don't get counted as they hit your unlimited bolt on.

If you don't have the bolt on, they will simply be taken from your txt allowance along with normal texts so be careful!

Don't forget you can text BUNDLE to 21202 to find out how many txts and minutes you have left.

Haha I'm waiting for mine to be activated. Just had to text MMS to 1010 as I never got anything. Let me know if yours works.

O2 just text me and have set up my MMS. Just text 1010 with MMS straight away and within about 20 mins you'll have it enabled.

Need to wait for O2 to set it up before you can send. I waited 15 mins then txted 1010 and within another 15 mins they'd set it up for me.

Just go ahead and text 1010 with MMS and you should have it set up within 15 mins or so.

Sent the text, tried to send you a MMS without doing it but it just stayed about 1cm off the sending bar for like 3 mins...

Hopefully they'll do it quick, must be everyone sending the shiznit!

O2 are very cagey about what unlimited means BUT I do know that if you are using the "unlimited text" option on a pay as you go by topping up a certain amount it does NOT apply to picture messages!

strange how people are having more problems later in the day. I updated to 3.0 at about 18:02. Was done by 18:09 then had a text from O2 straight away saying they were setting up MMS then like 2 secs later had a picture message from O2 saying it was done.

Seems its better to get in early lol

^^ Rang o2 this afternoon to clarify that

Pretty annoying considering I can put a P&G simcard in, top up £10 and get unlimited texts which DO work as MMS also.

Also instead of texting bundle I bought that app called Allowance...
