gearbox noise like clickin gravel noise like every rotation of the wheel in first n second. also when my clutch pedel is realeased in neutral makes a gravelly noise, any ideas

this just recently started... teeth broken ?? or thurst bearing... not sure really, dont know much about gear boxes

mine did exactly that, it'l get worse. i think its the diff but not sure. someones selling one cheap in the forsale section

i bought a vts box, which i thought would be rude not to match to a vts engine lol

This happens with mine aswell. Would be good to know what it is

its the layshaft and gearbox bearings mine is doing the same atm going into the garage to get fixed on wednesday

sadly guys with labour and parts you looking at about £400-£500 to get it fixed thats what im paying :(

Why not get your box recon mate, mine cost £150 to get recon'd and had bigger planet gears put in making the box stronger than standard ones bud, it has done 30-000 miles since and it has not let me down ever.:y:

fuck that just buy a new box for £50-100. i did a clutch change in about 6 hours the other day!

thats not bad mate i might enquire about that and see how it goes but mechanics round my way seem charge loads for everything :wall:

As above just buy a box but if you need to get them to fit it, labour will still be quite steep but am sure that you will be able to save on £400 lol

proabbly 100-150 in labour if you can do it yourself. its not that hard though! hardest bit is separating the balljoints on the wishbones if you've never done it before, took me hours the first time round lol
