Folks my sexbox (xbox) just died on me. I have had it for just over a year, so probally outside of the warranty. Can I take it back to pc world which is the place purchased it from or shall I just chuck it away to buy a new one?

if its the 3 red lights problem microsoft fix it free of charge :y: due to it being a common fault all u got to do is phone them and UPS pick the sexbox up and deliver it back to you :y:

3 RRoD and E74 error is 3 year warranty yO.

Mine is currently winging it's way back from Germany. It got collected last Wednesday. Good work MS.

When you get it back try and help it run better by making sure the console is well ventilated on all sides more so at the back so that the warm 'exhaust' air exiting from the console isnt just being forced back in if its up against a wall or in a enclosed space like a TV cabinet.
