H guys,

Ineed a new battery for my VTS. The one I've got won't hold any charge at all.

The only problem is that I havent got a lot of room due to mine being Turbo'd and having an oil catch that sits along side the batter. Havent got room anywhere else for the catch though.

Size of the one I've got in there is (l) 175mm (w) 175mm (h) 195mm

I've been to www.performancebatteries.co.uk and the battery they recommend is 243 x 175 x 190 which is far to wide. Has a cold cranking figure of 540 and power rating of 56

The only battery that would fit from this site has a cold cranking figure of 380 and a power rating of 36. Much lower than the recommended!

Would this drop in figure make any difference (tbh I dont really know what these figures are for)??? and does any one know somewhere else I could try?

measure a few up in halfords

look for signs of where the battery is from. probably dealer so might be worth going to citroen

if no joy then relocate the battery to the boot

theres no info on the battery bout who made it or its type. Just has a label that unfolds with instructions, and a large white label on the other side with red text that says High Energy Maintenance Free Battery.

Dunno if I can be bothered with the hassle of moving it to the boot tbh- would have to be a last resort!

lol yeah would be a pain of a job. there will be one out there same size. just a case of where! first job would be to measure a few up in your local motor factors though :y:

like what? I know what the recommended cold crank is 560, and power output is 60, but I cant find anything small enough to fit anywhere near those figures.
