I think they went the wrong way round a lot of things.
I had a awkward 2 months with them and didn't enjoy it. They were a hard company to leave and had been worse before I joined.
I wont miss them and hope I can watch the Premier League games, boxing and UFC for free now.

ESPN have bought setanta's 46 preimer league games for the 2009/10 season. Sky have picked up 23 extra games from 2010 - 2013 with ESPN picking up the other 23 games that setanta had "bought" for the same term. Virginmedia are in talks with ESPN to ensure the 46 games for next season will be shown for virginmedia customers.
ESPN will be £10 p/m with virginmedia. I'll be saving myself 2.99 p/m as I'll go for the ESPN subscription for next season only.
More info at http://www.virginmedia.com/myvirginmedia/setanta.php
Not sure what will happen to the England, FA Cup and other shizzle setanta used to show thou.

you mean the last six months...
my old man tried to cancel six months ago as it was obvious they was struggling but they reduced his monthly payments down to 3.80 a month.
Thats it for setanta Landy, you won't get any cash off them.

I wont be happy if those matches goes to another subscription channel. Plus I hope they don't use USA commentators.
I have bad visions of Soccer AM 'Boston style' commentating: 'Gerrard with the kick pass, Torres with the shot hit, its good!'.
Setanta was almost LFC-TV anyway. They seemed to show them every weekend and part of their downfall imo.

I only ever had it to watch Boxing. Stopped watching it and had a new debit card in the time, completely forgot to tell them. A month later they sent me a letter telling me they had cancelled subscription, blah blah bla. Didn't care.
Couple of months later, wanted to watch more boxing. Cunts wanted a shedful of money off me for missed months.... which I agreed to, being slightly merry....
Once I finally got around to cancelling it the second time (about 2 months ago, after paying for it for months and not watching.) they sent me an email saying I had been specially chosen for a £3.80 per month contract... lolz.

Bit annoyed as I got Setanta free as part of my subsription to Virgin XL
Oh well, I'll call them in a couple of days and give them shit, I may get something free out of them

Lol, when they were ntl I think I called up once every 3 months to get half price discounts when we had it at Uni.
Shortly after it changed to Virgin a woman clocked on to this and the convo went:
Woman: 'you're not getting any discounts'
Me: 'cool, we were thinking of leaving'
Woman: 'ok your account closes in 30 days'
Great customer service considering they got £1000s out of us because the guy sorting it out before me was a right doughnut.
