because everyone here likes to project the image that we dont speed & break the law because our reputations are bad enough from driving a typical chav car (saxo)

Congrats anyway, (motorway driving) not the speed hehe - tbh who hasnt tested their car aslong as its relatively safe and you dont do that 24/7 i dont see a problem but not trying to start a debate laws are laws simple as ;)

As mentioned above dont forget it only takes 6 points if its within first 2 years thats 2 baldy tyres or 2 speeding cameras so be careful! HF

His might not be a shed infact it may be one that is in good condition and there are other factors that need to be taken into acount why so critical all the time. It may be something simple like the speedo reading to high which is very comon in saxos. Everyone on hear is so quick to jump on people and give out coments that are not usefull or constructive....

Have a read around the site chap and get used to it. It can be a very usefull site for info on saxos and there are some sound people on hear. Oh and welcome to the site :y:

why ? ?

Its not very hard for the police to look on a forum available to any idiot and check what people are up to is it. :homme:
There was a guy a few weeks ago who posted his videos of speeding, police found the videos and information, and he was taken to court. LOL

And because of this.

correct tbh

agree with all of that

everyones revved their car high on here. people assume your "ragging it" when providing an engine is properly looked after etc, and your doing it on relativly safe roads, little traffic / pedestrians etc etc, its not major problem imo

theres a difference between driving fast, and driving dangerously

doesnt mean i think street racing iz cool btw, i almost always just drive within the speed limits etc etc

remember that the speedo is 10% out so actually it was probably doing 86ish which really isnt that impressive :)
95 feels like walking after doing 155 in my coupe turbo LEGALLY of course :)

you could say its not a good idea to admit breaking the law on a forum but hes safe as long as he doesnt start posting evidence (videos on youtube). but i dont see why any of that should bother us anyway

well done on passing ur test anyway, i actually think its silly you dont get taught how to drive on motorways while your learning its an important skill.

Blowout?? as long as your tyres are rated for the speed youre going, youd fucked if you was going 70 as well. and the reason theres a 70 limit on the motorway is because of the speed differential between vehicles, not because of stuff running on the road (when was the last time you saw this happen?).

nah its not good, one of my mates hit a 6ft sign that had blew over on the moterway in his fiesta zetec, and its lower 45mm all round, smashed the sump off, the crack was nearly ripped out, and the altenator was cracked, had to have a new engine put init,

yeh people my say how come he didn't see the sign, because there was road works, so not very many lights, so was hard to see, so just seen it at the last min.

Congrats on your new land speed record though mate,

Well I dont know the full story but from what Ive seen on the roads, he was just too close? Bikers and truckers are the worst on the road imo.

Bikers appear from nowhere and are only inches from the door doing stupid speeds.

Truckers indicate as they pull out, not before, tailgate each other (and smaller cars), try overtaking which takes several miles. 'My DAF is beta thn ur Volvo met'

im sorry but if you crash into something like a massive sign sitting in the middle of the road then it obviously wasnt safe... you would see it coming from a LONG way. i never said 100mph is always OK, it depends on the road/weather conditions and if you hit a whopping great sign then those conditions obviously arent good enough

also theres no limit on the autobahn and those roads have no more accidents than ours.

Although there isn't a legal limit there is an advisory limit of 80 mph and accidents are very common.

Most insurers will not pay out if you crash at a speed largely above 80 mph.

technically admitting something means you did do it lol

but anyway. to keep on topic with the thread, i think its good that the site doesnt want to promote a chavvy boy racer image of people speeding all the time

but sometimes (and ive done it myself) people get too offencive towards others

lets be honest, regardless of what car you drive, who hasnt broken the speed limit? allthough illegal, you can drive fast & safe. so long as you know the roads, know your car, know your limits, and its completely empty of others.. i dont see the problem tbh

not saying i go round racing all the time. i bought the S to get into track days. but obv a lot of members on here act as if they always stick to the limit

well ive topped out my VTR, on the motorway ofcourse, so lets test the "im guna get arrested for admitting to it" theory and see what happens. ill also provide my reg is the police need an easier time tracking me so that they can arrest me, because, lets be serious, the serious crime unit isnt going to get in touch with saxperience data centre and get the IP logs to track me down :homme:

also, a lot of people speed, and on an empty motorway, drive how you like, if you drive stupid and you in the car on your own, thats fine, because if you kill yourself its your own fault,

driving stupid and putting others in danger is different, whether its other cars or passengers in your car

i agree with the rest, you dont get a fast car to drive at the speed limit, if i wanted to do the speed limit id have gone for economy, cheap insurance and all the rest of it

i know a lot of people will jump on the bandwagon and deny they ever speed, but im pretty confident that a lot of people have and will break the speed limit

i also think that not everyone will ever agree on this, its like the 1000th seeding thread that has been bombarded, its worse than a thread about religion

We do that to piss off other road users. We're big and not many people argue. :homme: Seriously though, once a truck gets up to speed, the last thing it wants to do is have to slow down. Thats why they will try and overtake a truck going 1kph slower than they are. And when you are restricted to how long you can drive, the more distance the better. Try driving a truck, its a lot LOT harder than you might think.
