i was watching BBC news this morning and i seen that scientists have found that there is possible life on one of Saturn's moons!
They apparently sent a probe there years ago, and have now found that there are possibly rivers and oceans there!
that means life! even if it is only bacteria, it is life!

there will be life out there, just for some reason the idiots in white coats think its impossible. personally im getting tired of everytime they discover something, its the be all and end all of it and nothing can challenge their findings. heres my argument:
- the earth was flat, sorry now its round
- the sun orbits the earth, sorry now its the other way round
- the earth is at the centre of the universe, sorry now its not

yeah considering how small we are compared to the rest of the universe, we wont be alone. but its really weird to think that others may look really weird but think they are normal like we do. lol

Yeah.. 2 hours of tom cruise avoiding action ¬¬.
Also, they always say this "LIFE POSSIBLY FOUND ON 'X' PLANET", I wanna see PICCARS!!! .. (of said alien).

I'm with you on that, there was a thread the other day about the size of the universe. Basic logic says there must be life somwhere!

i agree. i think it's quite ignorant to believe were the only living things in the universe.
this is intresting

You gotta remember, we are a series of planets orbiting a star. there are many more stars out there that hjave simular set ups. at least one of those planets will be capable of supporting life. at which stage of life will be decided by a few key factors...
A) how old the system is
B) how far away said planets are from there "sun"
C) How many moons are orbiting said planets
D) How similar the gravity fields are on said planets to earth's 9.80665 m / s2
all these factors are key elements in life building environment's. so maybe not in this system, but others. there has to be systems out there in the vastness of space that have similar setups to ours and are older than ours, to give us better chance of finding intelligent life.
but i do just ove the idea of wallaby's eating opium and rampaging around making crop circles!! thats funny as fuck!

There's surely life elsewhere but whether that's on Saturn or Mars I'm not sure. Life as in bacteria perhaps.
The problem is, until we can build a rocket quick enough to get to the next system before the crew die, we'll never find out.
Unless of course....they find us first.........:panic:

And those are good quotes, what about drilling holes in the head to get rid of a headache. Or thinking spirits made us ill, not bacteria.
The balance for life has to be perfect but i think that theres so so much out there its impossible for other forms of life not to exist.

Surely if there is aliens out there, they may not need the same conditions as we do to live? They may not need oxygen or water? Broadens the range of where things can live too..

Everything is made up of bacteria, and bacteria needs certain criteria (of which oxygen (and I think water) are part of), to survive.

If the universe is truly infinite in size then surely the probability of anything happening somewhere is a certainty! Therfore rocket powered hovering saxos are out there in abundance :y:
