If you want a new picture on your driving license do you have to pay £50 and "reapply" or can you just get a new card sent with a new picture on it??

You HAVE to update your picture every 10 years. DVLA do not tell you, but if you look on your license (card part), it does say......
IE
4a 08-08-08 valid from part (the day you applied for your photocard license)
4b 07-02-10 valid till (6 months before the 10th anniversary of your photocard)

When I passed my HGV text last year, I sent in a new picture with my license to upgrade, but they didnt upgrade the picture! Also my DigiCard (Tacho) has my old photo, and the expiry on that is 10 years from when I got my DigiCard. So I will have one pic on my driving license and another on my DigiCard (the police and VOSA will be confused).

ye mines from when i had a scooter (16) im now 22. I look like such a kid in the pic, and the odd time i get ids at clubs they always take the piss with something like "borrowing your younger brothers id?" never get refused but still annoying.

i could sell my current house for £500,000 so i would have £400,000 and a new picture :y:
