Was just driving up a hill, very dark as it's raining and there are tree's either side.. Hear a loud bang, look in my mirror and see this backbox in the middle of the road! I thought shit! My SuperSprint has fallen off, but then realised it looked like a crappy old bacbox! Pulled over and couldn't see any damage but surely going over something like that in a lowered car can't be very good..

man you have been lucky if theres no damage, could have smashed the bumper to pieces. Have a good look underneath and check the lambda wires etc

Yeah, tbh I don't know really what i'm looking for underneath.. Bits look weird underneath imo but that's just me being paranoid. I thought the front bumper would be f****d but it's fine..

It knocked one of the bolts out that connects the centre section to the manifold.. Luckily me old man knows what he's doing and replaced it with an even stronger one than standard anyway!
Good thing is, i'm doing an S conversion within the next few weeks so this manifold is useless anyway!
Lucky no other parts underneath were damaged!

Must have taken some smack to knock out a threaded bolt!

Yeah! The bolt was still in but was completely loose, touched it and it fell out!
Lucky it didn't cut anything up underneath tbh

Only way i see it ripping them bolts out is hammering your silencer/backbox and dragging it back, all the joins on them seem fine?

Yeah, basically one of the bolts was really loose, went to tighten it and it just dropped out.. Gave the backbox a good shake, it seems fine, as does the centre section.. Had a good look under the whole car and can't see anymore damage whatsoever.. Exhaust isn't blowing or anything either so guess I got lucky.. :)
