Hey!

Right after mincing my old GTO amp, Im now after big power gains for my sub!

Iv heard soo many good reviews on Mono amps, just running the sub, off 1 ohm.

Then a seperate amp to run comps & rear quarter speakers.

Firstly wanna make sure this is the best thing for me to do, im really after SQ aswell as a good bass.

Im running all focal & rainbow throughout, is the rainbow mono amp (ipaul) a good choice ?

Thanks, Andy

the ipaul amp makes audiophiles cum

well untill the likes of a high spec geny amp is in the equation.. (very expensive)

mono amps, also known as classD amps have a single chanel instead of traditional stereo imaging. this is good for subwoofers as you dont want "left and right" bass lines

ClassD amps also use a differnt type of transistor switching, meaning higher power can be sustained for longer periods of times. another + when running a sub

a true SQ set up is run on classAB amps though, as in a two channel amp powering a sub, this imo isnt the best of ideas unless you have a massive wallet

help much? lol
