I lost interest in Nokias since the N95's regular fuck-ups.

The Nokia N97 is set to be released in the first half of 2009, and is expected to retail for around £450. It will be the next model in the successful Nokia N series.

Got a massive crack down the middle of my N95 when I tried and failed to demonstrate to the missus that my phone was solid after i'd dropped it a few times and it hadn't got a mark on it.

I use to literally bum Nokia's ... Had all of the N Series. Loved them.
Bought an iPhone and will never look back.

Have a nokia N96, beast of a phone, shit battery life though, with light-medium usage expect to charge everyday. Best smartphone out though (untill now), technology, best phone for 6 months, then something else comes out, guess it will always be like that.. kinda good tbh - progress!

I had an n95 for 2 years and it was a good phone, I then moved onto the i-phone and it is sooo much better...

My rentals have an N96 and the i-phone turds on that also

No MMS
no way of deleting individual messages
hopeless camera
no flash
Locked into Itunes (i hate itunes)
no bluetooth (except headsets)
horrible to text on

and i hate touchscreens!

Funny enough it's usually the people who don't have one that slate it.

I normaly get bored of phones within a month or two and end up buying a newer one, just for the same to happen, had the iPhone around 2 months now and I must say it's the best phone I've had and cannot see myself getting rid of it as anything else I use doesn't cut it like the iPhone does.

To answer you're list:
No MMS... There is now, but let's face it, how many people use it when you can facebook / twitter / photobucket images directly to your friends, or simply login to msn and transfer it over ... how many phones can do that?

No way of deleting individual messages... Who cares unless you're having an affair?

Hopeless Camera... I found the camera pretty damn good considering it's like 2MP.

No flash... Do you not have lights in your house? or go outside?

Locked into iTunes... You only need to go onto it to transfer thousands of new tunes (if you use it for that) and to activate the phone initialy, since the update on that I'm rather fond of iTunes, speed wise and useable.

No bluetooth... To be fair, when do you use bluetooth? Bar when you goto the cinema and want to send pictures of your mates missus' gash to randomers for a bit of crack.

Horrible to text on... I got used to it and can now text pretty fast with the help of it automaticaly fixing a couple of spelling mistakes, unless you just have really REALLY fat fingers/thumbs?

ring up and order it from o2 over the phone, they say unlimited text isnt avalible in the shop but i got it by ringing up.

They did it "i think" for a couple of weeks when it was launched. From what i've found off Google anyway. They even let you add the unlimited text bolt on, online too. Nothing now though. Rang again today.

I think i might get on on pay as you go, as im in Simplicity now with 600 or 800 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet for £27.50

I can always get a new phone then i suppose as i'm not stuck with a £50+ Iphone contract for 2 years

but still, the only thing i ever liked about the iphone was the web browsing. the fact it does half the stuff less expensive phones do is annoying.

as for bluetooth, its 20 times quicker to bluetooth to my pc than to plug it in (not transfer rate, as in, physical time!) ;)
