When its seen like this, it is scary...
Car Payments (loans etc): £7983.27
Petrol: £2005.08 (Saxo: £789.70, Punto: £990.50, Scooter: £110.88, 205 GTi £114.00)
Insurance: £1225.83 (Saxo: £789 Punto £436.83 bike free)
Servicing: £427.32 (Saxo not yet serviced, 3/1 1st one)

Tax: £365.75 (Saxo £170, Punto £105, 205: £90.75 Bike: free)
Before you start on the sad bastard campaign, my new years resolution last year was to keep track of every penny I spend to help me sort out my debt! God, figures like these make me think "lets walk everywhere" lol
Happy New Year

He's not worked out how much petrol he will use... thats how much he has spent on each vehicles petrol over 2005. (from receipts)
Sometimes I wish I could be organised, but I dont have the time smileys/smiley17.gif
Microsoft money seems OK. I used it for a few weeks before getting bored/fed up with it. Mainly because I couldnt be bothered to figure out how to customise it properly to suit my circumstances smileys/smiley17.gif
Good on ya Mike...
BUT... did the money watching help at all? Or is that next years goal... to cut down in the areas you spend too much?

iv just simply started writting down what money i have coming in and what i spend it on and things like that, really makes you notice what you spend money on, and its stopped me making stupid journeys in my car so i save on petrol.
cancel youe insurance on the punto, get your brother to get a policy in his name and get yourself a named driver that should save you some
Simo yeah realised that after i had posted.....

Brother giving me £100 per month to borrow Punto - thats £1200 per year - covers the £400 odd insurance + servicing, I have paid the finance off in full anyway, so its income for me...
It has helped me watching the pennies - seen how much I spent on shit last year - e.g. £662.44 on eating out, £266 on the lottery (I won £202.10 on the lottery, the most profitable part was Euromillions...) £435 on mobile phone bills, £390 on broadband and £282.59 on landline phone bill smileys/smiley17.gif smileys/smiley17.gif
I need to cut down on eating out, talking on my phone and there's no way I can cut down on the usage of the car lol....
It is easy to get bored with Microsoft Money, but it really shows you what you are spending each week/month, and ways to save money.
My monthly budget for petrol is £200, so I am £400 better off than I predicted - just on Petrol!
Mike
Happy new year...
