im trying to sort out my handling and braking out before i even think about doing anything to the engine theres just sumit about the brakes and suspension on the saxo that i just dont have any trust in, anyone know if there is a certain brand of disc's/pads and suspension struts are most suited to the saxo? i want to put the brembos off the 406 on the front and then use the xantia v6 discs and just keep the standard rear brakes but just upgrade the discs and pads i was just wondering which combination gives the best stopping power and also is there any make of suspension strut that handles the best, stiffer the better as im lowering my car due to euro styling it but i still need to carry 4 people plus luggage for work now and agen and i dont want any scrubbage after the brakes and suspension i think a set of powerflex ploys are in order as long as some strutbraces i really want a lower one but as im going down 60mm on the front i think it will be to much hassle driving itany one got a similar set up any comments welcome
The combinations are endless really mate, if you specify a budget then somebody will be able to give you the top spec within range.
As far as dampers are concerned, Bilstein grp N's are seriously stiff but if you're using them on the road as a car back and fourth to work they may seriously rattle your bones.... literally. The b8's are a good compromise. You'll have to get somebody elses advice on bushes as again the grp n's can be immensely hard for day to day use. And when it comes to recommending torsion bars I haven't got the foggiest.
Sorry, I just read, Handles the best. Completely skimmed the euro styling part. lolz.
Perhaps look into a set of coilovers mate, seeing as you want seriously low yet still want to maintain good drivability.

well im on a budget not to much of a budget but still a budget. *how many times can u say budget in one sentence* lol if i go for coilovers they will have to be base entry ones for around £300 i was looking at a set of g-max struts for around £160 and ive got some 60mm spax lowering springs and im not sure on the back im not sure weather to go for 60mm at the back or lower but i dont want it to look stupid just if i spend less on suspension say if i get the g-max struts over the coilies then ill have extra money for some decent front brakes and ive still gotta buy a super sprint exhaust as mine is knackerd and the small 2inch back box should look good with the euro styling
