I know it can cause damage in the long run, but i am forced to drive without it until tomorrow. (Serious lack of funds, hefty insurance)
Would driving without it restrict performance, as my car feels unusually sluggish???

i presume the oil is in the gearbox for a reason! and i imagine running your gearbox with out oil would be like running your engine with out oil!
it will kill it, get the bus

Oh ok i will leave it then. alrwady drove it yesterday, no real difference just a slightly stiffer gear lever. there must be some left in there.

I unknowingly lost gear oil when a driveshaft fucked it, new driveshaft, drove it around, 2 days later I had a big bill for a new gearbox...

rofl, i find it great, the he is more bothered in it effecting the performance.
proberally make it run a bag of shit.
when mine split and i drove it with no juice in the box, every gear was a cunt! and left me with a hefty bill and long 3 days to re-build it!
if you can wait till tomorrow, which isnt that bad, dont drive it man... its not work... 3 qui for a bus, 3 quid for oil... or 150 + for box / repairs / labour

I know of people who ran no gearbox oil in MAs for a few days. I wouldn't recommend it though. They fall apart even with oil in them lol

my gearbox leaks from the starter motor, and it ran near enough dry, and made a horrible noise, you really dont wana drive it if you dont have to, its just gona end up costing you £300 to have a new box fitted

Drove one for about 15miles with no oil in, seemed fine for ages afterwards, but dont risk it. Its about 6 quid at my local motor factors for box oil; you must be able to bum a tenner off someone?
