Hi first post on here and just a question about Lower Arm Ball Joint. I have just swaped out the drive shafts on both sides of the Saxo and i notice the ball joints were shot. So what I want to do next is replace the ball joints. Just wanted to know how to go about doing this. Didn't want to mess about changing the whole wishbone when you can get ball joints for 10 dink each side. What tool do you need to get to press out the ball joint?
you will need a proper press so the wishbone needs to come off the car

You can use them mate
but im sure a g clamp or vice and a cylinder of metal will get them out if you have them lying about, if you can afford one of them sets then go for it

yer was looking for a hire place that i could borrow a ball joint press. Been quoted £45 per side for a lower arm from GMF in Cheltenham. If i could have just got two ball joins for £10 and pressed them out by hireing a press for £10 then quids in.
I've just done the drive shafts for £48.18 each side got £25 back too at GMF.
I don't have a vice or G clap knocking round and i don't want to spend £60 on a press.
Any one got any ideas?
Thanks for your help so far

no just moved to Cheltenham with the miss use to live in Sheffield. Oh well I think new Wishbone it is. Would have been great to just put new ball joints in.
