I have a mk2 vts, the only performance mods i have is:
magnex cat back
induction kit
I would like to get my car chipped for the extra performance, is there any problems i could face? and should i have any other mods before i chip it?
whats the best chip to get? and how much are they?

alright mate, i had pertty much the same mods apart from i had a 4-2-1 straight through, i had mine remapped rather than chipped and it made tonnes of difference, didnt seem to struggle as much at low end revs even though cos of the exhaust i had no back pressure and also it loved revs, i used to kill normal VTR's and i raced a 106 gti of the mark and it was even stevens pretty much all the way to about 80, so i would say have it mapped cos then its done to suit your car rather than getting a "chip" hope that helps mate :)

it normally starts from about £450, it gives upto 20% power increase but its better response, feels more tourqey, more economical cos you dont rev it as high cos there is more power low end, and doesnt seem to choke as much high end, but thaats partly to do with my straight through lol there is a place in derby that does the cams and mapping its about £1000-£1500 i think for cams labour and mapping! hope that helps :)

Yeah it aint cheap mate but as said above much better to re-map the cra and if you are make sure that you get a manifold and de-cat and cams to go with it first so that it does make a difference bud.
