View Full Version : Saxo Furio X Reg Cam Belt?

Hey,

Ive just bought an X Reg - Saxo Furio 1.4, I asked the guy selling it about whether it had a cambelt done on it, but he told me that 1.4s do not have a cambelt, only the 1.1 and 1.6 do.

Is this right?

Nope pretty sure it does :D

If your not sure when it was done then get it done ASAP to be on the safe side.

Yeah im sure it wont kill you to open the bonnet and have a look to the left of the engine

Apart from some skoda's which has a chain :)

just about every car will have belt or a chain to drive the cams, water pump, oil pump and crank

Hi mate, every car has ever a drive belt (cam belt) our a drive chain (timing Chain) saxo furio has a belt, if u decide to change it you might want to replace ure water pump whilst ure at it.

he is sayin that 1.1 and 1.6 have cam belt and 1.4 have chain!
we will see i guess!

lol it definatly has a cam belt, oil pump is chain driven but thats it
