Has anyone got a pic of smoked standard rear lights AND smoked rear jewels on a posi blue saxo vt?/furio mk2?
I've got a posi blue furio and I'm going for a blue/black look, but not sure what rear lights to go for?
Thanks, Rob

How do you smoke the rear lights?
because Im helping my mate do the headlights of his MK2 tomorrow so if its a easy job to do then we can kill two birds with one stone.
Also...They say to spray 3 coats of primer and rub down in between
Rub down with what? Wet n Dry paper? surely not sandpaper, thats too rough as hell no?

yes use a fine grade wet and dry
would think a 1500 grit or something along those lines.

why not just use tinting spray?
i would have thought primer would stop any light shining through?

1. Take Off your lights, to do so jsut unscrew the bolts located in your boot behind the lights.
2. Take out the bulbs, by pressing the clip back and they should jsut pull out.
3. Rub the lights down with some wet and dry sandpaper, i would recomnd using 1400+
4. Masking tape around the rear light on the plastic to make sure you dont spray that, i masking taped the silver part of my rears and didnt want them spraying.
5. Use tinting spray can get this from most motor shops (halfords sell it)
6. You dont need primer because this will cover up the lights and you wont be able to see the lights shine through, making this totally illegal.
7. Spray on the tinting spray waiting about 15min inbetween coats, not much need to rub inbetween coats. Put as many coats on as you want, bearing in mind not to dark to be illegal. i say around 3-5coats.
8. But them back on after its dried, your done.

I was about to buy those clear jewels, but I didn't in the end because as you can see they don't come with reflectors.
