Morning,

Had a problem recentnly that I thought I'd rectified, basicaly when I started braking and coming to a halt you could hear a knocking noice coming from the front wheels.

Checked the pads and one of them seems to be knocking/rattling on the caliper, changed the pads (which were only a month old) for some mintex ones and cured it bliss I thought I could here the birds tweeting and the missus banging on in my ear again.

Now 4 weeks later the same stupid knocking noice is back.

I don't brake heavy and rarely go over 3k revs and only do about 10miles a day if that in it.

Has anyone else had this problem?, its so annoying when people look at you as if your cars about to blow up.

Thanks for reading

I have had a problem similar to this....turned out to be my hub that needed replacing as it had warped...i thought i cured it with new pads and discs and it seems to go away at first but then it comes back after about a month like you said.

Cheers for replys, stripping it down today AGAIN and having a good look.

Hope it's not driveshafts or bearings, they were only done other month, I've got milk older than that in fridge lol.

atleast if they do need replacing you should be able to pick the bits up off someone on here for quite cheap

hub bearings can be had for like £25 and can be pressed for like a tenner. then driveshafts are £40 on exchange so not the end of the world
