Arcade or Elite?

Im thinking of buying myself a new Xbox. Now I can pick up an Arcade version for £129 and put my bigger premium memory onto it. But im stuck on weather to spend an extra £100 and get an elite? What are the differences? Regards

Going to spend your money then may aswell spend it wisely and get the elite

depends if you need a hard drive really. if you don't then you may as well have an arcade. although you might need to get HD type of cable.

really? i have both and if i needed to sell i wouldnt just sell the ps3 over the xbox i would sell the ps3 over the wii as well.

Also elite come with hdmi cable as standard also 120gb hard drive and black consol and controls to.

Bigger HD is good as I install all games to hd so you cant hear the disc spinning when playing

Plus added cooling so less/no chance of RRoD

Exactly what I done tbh Scott -Wii eventually followed (gave it to my wee cuz)

Working with 32 or 33 lads that also got a PS3 on or around launch only 7 of them still have it & 3 of them have said they only kept it for Blueray...

Was a massiv let down imo :n:

I'd go with the arcade btw, RROD is under warranty for 3yrs anyway.
After a few weeks no1 will give a fuck wat ur console looks like.

The PS3 is an amazing machine on paper but the game developers can't make games good enough to fulfil its potential so it's just pointless really. Read an article on Gamespot I think and they compared a few games on both platforms (in terms of graphics) and the 360 came out on top on about 7/10 of the games.

If you want a games console get a 360.

If you want an over rated DVD player get a PS3...

Get the Elite, there sexier in black and the harddrive space will do you well, also the black controller wont look dead and worn, aslo i dont really like white controllers as they look dead after a while! aha

Haha, I've had two elites both got 3 red rings of death, so i xClamped both and they only worked for another 2 month each. And then i went and bought a arcade, took the case off without voiding warranty placed my elite case and elite front on it, and i use my elite pad.

It helps that the new jasper 360's are being released now, 45nm CPU + 45nm GPU + further changes to heat/cooling layout and HOPEFULLY eliminate RROD issues.

I got a Elite the other week, love it.

The new elites were supposed to be different (so the hardware didn't fry) to the earliers model 360's, but loads of people still get 3 red lights...

Arcade, and put a 20gb hdd on it. Elite is a rip off. The Arcade has HDMI on it as does the Elite. Unless you want to pay an extra £100 for some black plastic go for it :D

Lol, apart from breaking, what does the Xbox do that the PS3 doesn't then in terms of being a games console?

I've had both Xboxes and never really got on with the controllers or how the system works. The 360 pad felt like it was giving me RPI after 20 minutes or so.
