why do yuo need to take it out.

There are a few ways

My brother in his 306 started it and then pulled the box out and joined the cables (not sure what ones but can find out) and then it never needed it to start again.

i may be wrong but if you mean the silver box with the orange plug on it under heater unit by gearstick thats not immobiliser that the airbag trigger module

If you start the car, then pull it out it unlocks the ECU and you wont need it anymore.
