WTF is wrong with my ps3?

Whenever I go to play COD4 and press play online, it just says downloading game settings, I left it for a couple of hours and it still says that. Same happens with COD world at war. Whats happening there?? Never had any problems with my ps3 until now.........anyone else had problems like this?? :n:

Happens with me on COD4, its a very common issue. I've just stopped playing the crappy game. Apparently there is a tricky fix but it stops you hosting/joining parties.

i get it fairly constantly it just seems to take ages to connect but it always does in the end never lasted lnger than 10 min though

i used to reset router when it happened to me, sorted it 90% of the time

There has been a thread about this before.

One guy swore that it was the map pack on COD4. I used to get this problem a lot and just did the following:

Unplug your net router and your ps3 then plug them back in again and then try to play either cod.

My PS3 is plugged in to my net router along with my PC and if I turn the PC on while playing a match on COD4 it disconnects me from that game or causes connection issues.

yeh i have this problem from 5pm ish till 11pm. me and my bro researched it and aparently its your network provider!

We are with tiscali (bad idea!!) so we are going to try get BT or Virgin!

It is only to do with COD4 afaik so changing NP seems a bit drastic.

If it happens to me I unplug and plug in again my net router and PS3, problem sorted.

And also the spawn points. On MW start of match i spawn were the enemy is! :fcuk:

I have spawned in to bullets, grenades, air strikes, helicopters.

Or when the enemy are spawned right behind you is annoying.

So is the amount of times I have died on a 6 kill streak! :(

i only play dom or s&d or free for all and i get spawned in good places out the way.
