I use RAC and nobody else. AA just try and get as many call outs 'seen to' each day to meet their targets, this means they find you and tow you to a garage before even trying to sort the problem.

£952!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What the hell happened?
well the head gasket went and it needed skimming oil change coolant and bla bla bla
but also had to pay for the recovery as they recovered it to a police compound and wouldnt let me have the car back till i paid it :( they were also charging by the day :(
and then on top of that it cost me 330 for mot.....
strangley enough though it went in for mot on tuesday and wednesday then 3 days later on the saturday the headgasket went ????
so total price spent on the car in that week was 952.00 :(

im with RAC got international cover and it covers Me not the car, so i could be driving any car, or be in the passenger seat of any car and still be covered.

that happened when i was with a mate who had to call out the AA.
im with the RAC and the other week my car overheated....i was told the thermostat had gone by a garage where ti overheated and they said not to drive it. the garage also said could be head gasket....the garage were like dont drive it at all....called the rac to get a tow home and the guy was a proper decent bloke and said he wasnt leaving till he got my car working...he got it working and turned out nothing was wrong...he bled the system etc...
very very good service imo.
im with aa and never had a prob with them, came out, fixed a prob in the loom in no time, only ever towed me when i blowen the engines

Im with the aa, something like £30 for a year, covered any breakdown or homestart for whichever car i was on. Recently got towed about 15 miles for free when my rover gave up! And the aa have always been pretty good for me anyway

i used to be with the aa always found them to be quite good in coming out but it seemed they never wanted to fix my car just tow it home unless i was miles away then it was another matter,
im with greenflag though now after that prick high up in the aa spoke out about young modded car drivers i took my money elsewhere and he can stick his breakdown up his arse.
