over the last few weeks ive noticed that reverse gear has become more and more harder to select.

This morning when i got in the car to reverse off my drive, i put it into reverse, moved back and put my clutch in so the car was free wheeling as i always do and the gearbox started to make a very funny noise, like if u have a spinning bike wheel and u put summat up against the spokes it makes a derrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr noise! thats the best i can explain it.

the car wont be covered under warrenty if i take it to citroen cos the car is lowered and im just presuming its the gear box as well, like i said this noise only happens when free wheeling in reverse!!!

all help much appciated!

cheers andy

Dear friend... I'm afraid that I don't have

good news for u...

I had the same problem with the 2nd gear

a few weeks ago, and I had to change the whole

gear's transmission mechanism. I was lucky it was for only one gear, cos as u probably know, anything that concerns the gearbox.. is a huge wound for the wallet!

But maybe isn't exactly the same thing, because mine

problem was caused from violently use. I wish u luck.

my VTS is a year old, I had a new gearbox fitted last week cos the gearbox mounts gave way. I just got it back a my new box is making a funny noise, so it looks like it may need to be replaced again. luckly it is under warranty even though it has been lowered 60mm and the front and 80mm at the back on 17s.
