Depends how old you are and if you can afford insurance... Also, define "good".

Then I doubt you can afford the insurance on a VTS mate and even a VTR will be steep.

Furio is a good shout, better looking than a 1.0 and 1.1, quicker but it's by no means a quick car. As for handling I doubt it's as good as a VTR/S but can't say for definite.

Furio interiors tend to be gash. Usually come is like bright blue or red with stupid patterns I think. Imo the best looking interior is in the 1.1 Desire as it's just plain pretty much :y:

Good first cars imo

Pretty easy to get looking like a VTR/S as well. Change the rear beam for a disc beam and the interior and jobs a good un!

Bargain. Make sure it's not been bent around a lamp post for that price!

ive got a furio and there not that bad and with a few choice mods they can be as quick as a vtr. Plus they are cheaper to insure and get good mpg :y:

plus they look exactly the same as the vtr/s so the interiors in the mk2 is pretty nice almost identical to the vtr

god you must have owned some shite ;) my first car was a furio though. liked it a lot. its not frustrating slow like a 1.1 might be, and obviously it looks better too. try some insurance quotes and compare with a 1.1 and vtr though.

i have a westcoast (same engine as the furio...only a mk1) and i find they are a fun car to drive, pretty nippy compared to other small cars and with the right mods could be sitting at nearly the same bhp as a vtr.

only down point is the interior, crap, but ust buy a good set of seat covers :y: :D

agreed, not the quickest of all 1.4's but they do the job and look good as well. I'm happy with mine tbh as a first car :y:

yea agree that they arent the quickest of the 1.4's as there are 16v and sport models, but for an 8v still good going

furio is a good compromise imo, cheap insurance, reasonably cheap to buy and fantastic on fuel and you still get the basic image of the 'hotter models'

as for not insuring a vts at 18, i bought my vts at 18 and insured it reasonably cheaply too on my own policy, that was a few years ago though but insurance prices haven't really changed that much to be fair.

Furios good for a 1st car. cheap insurance but still looks like your driving a vtr/s and if you want more speed drop a R or S in it :D and change the interior if you want. you cant go wrong.

Faster than a 1.1, slower than a VTR.

Can't believe no one said that yet :p.

Also, sorry :D.
