which is the best way to set them up....use the old wires etc and just play through the headunit, or wire them up to the amp? think i would have to buy another amp though due to running sub and 6x9's on there allready.

Abit stuck on which to buy...

makes of those componants?

You can get away with old wires but its worhtwhile upgrading and running fresh new wires. Definetely amp them and bin those fucking 6x9s! You components amped up will sound far far far far better than any 6x9 will

they are JBL mate, same as the rest of my system.
Are the better speakers really worth that extra £70?

WHy stick with JBL? Plenty of better on the market and tying yourself to one brand just to keep name is a bit silly?

And between those two yes i would spend the extra

true...but then again you would proberly buy two of the kicker subs for £900 and then front comp speakers for like £300+ lol im on a wee student with not alot of money spare....smileys/sad.gif

can't see how much better they will be for an extra £70 though!

nehow, what would you recommend?

decided on some Infinity for £75...what would be the best way to wire these up? Is it easy enough to wire up that way and will i need to buy any wiring to do that?

i've got the Infinity components & they are very good mate. would have gone for better if i could afford it at the time but they still perform well. only running mine off the HU at the moment, but as Scott said will sound much better once i pull my finger out & amp them up

when running them through the amp...where will the wires go etc? as tbh..i don't have a clue, im gonna have to buy another amp though to run them, well ill take out my 6x9s and see how the front comp sound on there own. if im gonna buy a new amp...will i be able to run my 6x9s and front comp off 1 amp and sub off another or will i have to just run front comp or 6x9s off one amp.

and yes i know i should just scrap 6x9s bla bla bla lol smileys/smiley17.gif

if you want loud then keep your 6x9s but you will hear the quality when you get rid
