As the weather is a bit poo, this seems fitting.
Did you know that when lightning strikes sand it heats up the sand causing the silica in the sand to melt causing natural glass? Its more a mineral than a glass, they call it Fulgurite.

Not quite as pretty as the ones in the film Sweet Home Alabama but still fricking cool. Im off to the beach with some lightning rods woooo
