Problems with vtr starting... [Archive] - Saxperience

Hey guys,

Hoping you can help me with my problem please? I have a V reg Mk1 VTR, and it's giving me some hassle... It will start first time no problem, and I can go anywhere. But once I've turned it off it won't start again. If it leave it a while (maybe 10mins or so) it will start again.

Any ideas?? Thanks everyone.

Do you mean you are having trouble with it starting once its hot?

After it's been running, whether hot or cold, it won't start

sounds like it could be a fuel related problem, once it gets hot it can have trouble circulating..

after a bit more checking, it loses its spark. we have tried a coil pack and crank sensor but its neither of those. any more ideas guys?

Have you changed the spark plugs?
