Hi, ive just bought a CD player of a friend and whenever i take the key out of the ignition all the settings are lost and it pretty much resets. It didn't do this in his own car and he says its something to do with the wiring but he doesn't know how to fix the problem, can anybody help?
I can provide pictures of the wiring in the back if this helps?
Cheers ;)

look in your head unit manual if You have it.
I had the same problem sony manual jus says change a wire from the back of head unit, It will be there its just that it wont be connected... Its the necessary wire for your unit to remember EQ settings and other stuff... it is annoying though isnt it.... i got that good at Re-EQ'ing my unit that I could do it to exactly how I wanted it in a few seconds lol...

you should have two bullet connectors one in each yellow and red .. swap these over as suggested above and bobs your uncle! :)
