What parts do i need for a gti6 brake convo apart from discs and calipers? Do i need the carriers, etc? Might get the master cylinder too!

Carriers yes
mc possibly all down to personal choice regarding the amount of peddle travel
may also be a good time to upgrade to braided hoses, which i can supply cheaply

Well got the calipers, discs and m/c for £40 lol. Need new hoses as they just cut them off. How much are braided hoses? Think the carrier will be attached as didnt look like was left on strut anyway.

im doin this asap, going to halfords over the weekend to price up some disks and pads on trade, their own branded stuff is actually ferodo so it'll do me!
you just need the disks pads and complete calipers, and i believe the calipers need some sort of grinding but ive yet to find out how much/where

swampy what colours can you get?

Fittings are the same
some other suppliers say standerd is fine
but in my experiance they get pulled tight on extrems of suspension and steering travel
this can lead to a hose failure and loss of brakes
if pickd up on an mot it can be a failure
colors
red
blue
black
yellow
green
orange
purple
clear
carbön fibre

Do you deffinately need longer hoses? Is it worth getting rebuilt and cleaned up, etc before fitting. I was going to clean up and paint anyway.

The company that make mine used to supply goodridge!
They now supply several other companies.
And people who have fitted both makes say exact lines are better in both quality and fitment

Dude, did you get my PM's or what? I just need to know roughly when I'm gonna get the hoses, coz I can't use my car until then. If it's gonna be ages, I'll just pick some up from Pug Racing, as they're just down the road from me and have em...

The wires are just wear sensors that the 306 has, think you would be better off with mintex pads unless your on track, them pads wont be all that good cold.
