right technical peeps got some questiosn to pick at you, basically when i got the s1 it had standard fan still on which was the same as a vtr one, im changing over to vts fan/rad although i dont even think it was wired in the first place as the wires that came from it ran no where basically just as an earth

sooo first of all do you have any electrics running to the radiator? reason i ask this is there seems to be a plug at the top of the vtr one (blue) but none on the vts so is this for something different?

is the rad just a case of plumbing in and its good to go?

next questions the fan, what actually determines when the fan kicks in? is it this?

on the base model it was located near the slam panel but on the vts its part of the fan itself, would it matter if i used the standard one where it was located?

also whats this some kind of relay? once again its not present on the vtr one

The blue socket in the first pic is the radiator cooling fan switch, fitted to radiators without air conditioning, however they are not always fitted and where the switch fits a plug blank is fitted.
The relay in the last pic is the relay for the radiator cooling fan and acts as the switch.
Obviously the cooling fan switch switches on should the temperature sensor detect the the cooling system is up or exceeding the vehicles recommended temperature (I think this is about 96-100 degrees C)
