Not one to complain (lol) But during my many trips to the for sale section i can't fail to notice people buying things off members then reselling them for a higher price!
I assumed the for sale was a kinda car club thing not some way for spiteful people to turn a profit so much so they are almost worthy of a visit from the taxman!
A few times i have even seen the items being resold with the original sellers pictures lol.

Just me?

never noticed this myself, but I agree thats its very unspirited. I thought the idea of the forum was to help others, not to help oneself

I wouldn't be ashamed of taking advantage of a bargain if I knew I could make a few quid on it (not saying I have, like)

Time and time again tho?

Used to do it on ebay, quite often getting the original seller to post directly to the new buyer.

*hangs head in shame and surrenders shirt of own back to taxman*

Fair enough buy something cheap and sell it expencive but not on the same car forum lol..

I understand people might buy something and decide they don't like it when it arrives and decide to sell it on but charging more is not on really

That's ebay tho mate, i'm on about members of this club.

I'm all for people turning a profit but would you say it was fair and inkeeping with the clubs initial mission for people like myself having to buy things for like £50 more than the item was originally up for sale purely cos i wasn't online when it 1st went up and got bought up by someone with no use for the stuff atall other than to resell to members for more money? gay as fuck man!

Pretty sure there are other more serious taxing issues than the ones you have highlighted tbh

imo, its the original sellers fault for not price'ing their products well.
but then again, if the original sellers happy with what they got then its not a problem?

I agree, I would assume the idea of selling on here is not necessarily to make much of a profit its to help another member out by offering a product at possibly a cheaper rate. Meh, its a win-win though surely, seller is happy, buyer is happy, its when people dont post the items they are selling and rip people off is when its really wrong.
