clutch noise?

everytime i start the car and drive off when its cold for the last 2 weeks or so it makes a friction noise when u release the clutch to the biting point. is this the clutch telling me its gunna go or is it nothing to worry about?

It sounds like the clutch bearing is on the way out im afraid. A fairl expensive job due to number of hours required to replace the clutch with a new clutch kit (makes sense to replace all components at same time - rather than find after replacing just the bearing that after another few thousand miles that another part 'goes')
